Ryuka

We have laid authentic Ryukyu tiles using a dense arrangement method known as the Taketomi style. The eaves are finished with a unique Yaeyama plaster technique called "kakimendo."

The premises, surrounded by hand-stacked Ryukyu limestone walls, exude the timeless essence of Okinawa.

Traditional Okinawan architecture is designed based on Feng Shui principles. We have faithfully recreated elements such as the orientation of the property, the building, a privacy screen called "hinpun" at the entrance, as well as the placement of ponds and vegetable gardens.

The gentle shaded eaves are supported by a single Inumaki pillar called Chagi and a coral base known as Kikumeishi, which was used in traditional houses on Taketomi Island.
