A long-established Ryokan with only 5 rooms, each with an open-air bath, nestled in the hidden Onsen of Yonezawa, Onogawa Onsen.
The Onsen, known as "Bijin no Yu" derived from the legend of Ono no Komachi, is fully sourced from 100% natural hot springs. In October 2024, it will be renovated to include new room terrace open-air bath guest rooms, a bedrock bath utilizing Onsen heat, and the post-bath café "Anmapon," among other attractions. Enjoy creative cuisine featuring "Yonezawa Beef," one of Japan's top three wagyu, and seasonal ingredients from Yamagata.
Although it was a cold day, we were welcomed very warmly. The staff were courteous and helpful, and we truly appreciate it. The Onsen was also wonderful—my skin felt smooth afterward.
