Okuhida Onsen Village - Relaxation House Yu

My family and I stayed here the day before our Kamikochi sightseeing trip.The young proprietress was very friendly and easy to talk to, and her unpretentious, thoughtful hospitality was truly comfortable. The open-air bath in our Room felt amazing—I could have stayed in it forever.Dinner featuring Hida beef had so many dishes that we wondered if we could finish them all, but everything was delicious and we all ate every last bite. The beef tataki we received as a gift from the Accommodation was also outstanding!They also kindly helped us plan for the next day’s Kamikochi sightseeing, making our stay completely satisfying. We would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip to Kamikochi!

We recently stayed here as a family of three. We wanted to take the Shinhotaka Ropeway night stargazing ride, so we asked at check-in, and they kindly adjusted the serving pace so we could finish our 6:00 PM dinner in about an hour. Thanks to that, we made it in time for the ropeway, and we were lucky with clear weather at the summit and enjoyed a beautiful starry sky—an unforgettable memory. They gave us thoughtful advice before we went and were flexible in many other ways as well, which helped us a lot. Thank you!We stayed in a room with an open-air bath, so it was wonderful to relax in our room after returning from the ropeway while still a bit tired. We also had time to use the large public bath in the morning and enjoyed it at a leisurely pace.For dinner we had sukiyaki. We couldn’t take our time due to our schedule, but everything—the main sukiyaki, meat sushi, and appetizers—was delicious and very filling. Breakfast was also excellent; we were very satisfied.There were plenty of drink services and amenities as well, so we had no inconveniences during our stay. It was our first family trip in a while, and it became a truly wonderful memory. My mother said she’d like to come again too, so when we visit Okuhida next time, we would definitely love to stay here again.
