  • The rice was delicious as expected, and the bath was excellent too.

    As expected from a renowned rice region, the rice cooked individually in small pots for each guest at dinner on the first night of our two-night stay was simply outstanding. We were already more than full from the delicious meal and kept saying we couldn’t possibly eat any more rice—yet we still found ourselves reaching for it. We even wondered if the water made the difference.For breakfast and dinner on the second night, we had rice served in an ohitsu (wooden tub). It was of course delicious as well, but the first night’s pot-cooked rice was truly unforgettable.The Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and we had an extremely comfortable stay overall.We also really appreciated the Shuttle Service to Yuzawa Station—thank you so much.

  • Open-Air Bath with Spectacular Views

    The breathtaking views from the open-air bath are truly soothing, and the hot spring water quality is exceptional. The meals are also delicious. Since we chose the stay-in Room Plan, we were able to enjoy our meals at a relaxed pace in our Room. The Shuttle Service is also a welcome amenity.

Open-air Bath

An expansive open-air hot spring with natural flowing water.

The Onsen water, sourced from a spring that has been flowing for hundreds of years since before the formation of the stalactite cave in the back mountain, is used in both the large public bath and the open-air bath. In the special room with a private open-air bath, a different type of spring water is used, offering a unique Onsen experience unavailable in other rooms. The gentle and smooth texture of the water comes from its abundant flow that has never ceased throughout its long history. With high alkalinity and mineral content, it can be described as natural hot mineral water. Both men’s and women’s open-air baths are roofless, providing a liberating experience. The view is truly breathtaking and expansive.
