A hidden Ryokan with 8 rooms nestled in the great nature of Kirishima. Located in a water-rich area within the Kirishima mountain range, Japan's first national park. All guest rooms feature open-air baths with natural onsen flowing directly from the source. Two special rooms include a private authentic sauna and drinkable natural water bath. The sauna is equipped with a high-spec stove, and the water bath is temperature-controlled by an ice maker, making it irresistible for sauna enthusiasts. There is also a private sauna available for guests to use. Meals are served in private dining areas, where you might be lucky enough to see a sea of clouds. Experience ultimate relaxation and authentic "totonoi" in an extraordinary private space.
Perched on a hilltop in a very quiet area of Kirishima, the Room offers distant views of Sakurajima. Surrounded by mountains and tea fields, you can enjoy a peaceful stay away from the crowds. The Room is equipped with a spacious open-air bath that can comfortably fit around five people, a sauna for about three, and a cold plunge pool. Being able to use these Facility amenities as much as you like at any time you prefer truly feels like a luxury.Meals are served in a private dining room, with staff providing prompt service. We thoroughly enjoyed dishes featuring abundant local ingredients from both the mountains and the sea—refined without being overly elaborate, and well suited to Japanese tastes. There is also an extensive selection of Kagoshima shochu (far more than we could even recognize), along with sake, wine, and non-alcoholic options to enjoy freely.The staff were also extremely kind and attentive.If I had to mention one drawback, it was that the bathroom sink is located in the bedroom area of the Room, which felt slightly inconvenient.For those who want to fully enjoy the sauna, Onsen, meals, and location, I highly recommend a Multiple Night Stay.We would love to visit again.
セスティーノ 3/19/2026This was our first stay at this Accommodation. The location is on a hillside in Kirishima, offering a wonderful view of Sakurajima in the distance. It is very quiet, making it an ideal place to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of dishes served for both dinner and breakfast. The meals used plenty of local ingredients, and we found the seasoning excellent (though this is a matter of preference, and for us as a couple it was slightly on the stronger side). There was also an impressive selection of shochu and other drinks. Unlike some Ryokan that only offer very expensive options, we were able to enjoy reasonably priced drinks here. With an open-air bath, private sauna, and cold plunge bath in the Room, we were able to enjoy them as many times as we liked. The staff were friendly, and our stay was very comfortable throughout. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.
