  • Tenjin Fireworks Day

    I booked a river-view Room to enjoy the fireworks in comfort. TV Osaka on the lower floor was broadcasting the fireworks live, and the view from my window was exactly the same—absolutely wonderful. On this day, nearby Hotels were charging close to 100,000 yen per night, but DoubleTree offered a very reasonable rate.

  • The staff were wonderful.

    We chose this Hotel because our child was interested in Osaka Castle. We were surprised at how much larger Osaka Castle looked than we had imagined when viewed from the Room and the lounge. It is definitely worth seeing.We used the lounge during breakfast and the refreshment service. Breakfast offered a decent variety, and we were satisfied. The snacks during the refreshment service were fewer than expected, and for all three days the only cake available was chocolate cake, so it would have been nice to have at least one more option. Having a whole banana was very helpful for our child.While using the lounge, there was spilled juice near the juice stand, and before we noticed it our child got their clothes dirty. A staff member immediately rushed over to help us. It seemed like a previous guest may not have returned the lever quickly enough and the juice overflowed, but even though it was not really the Hotel’s fault, several staff members—including a manager—apologized to us throughout our stay. Their professionalism in both manner and words truly reflected top-class service.Thank you very much for all your thoughtful care. Our whole family had a very comfortable stay.
