A luxurious villa stay with a private open-air hot spring bath fed directly from the source, where you can enjoy the changing seasons.

Hotarutei Villas is a luxurious private villa that opened in October 2023. The space, exceeding 100 square meters, features two bedrooms, a spacious living room, an open terrace, and an open-air hot spring bath with natural flowing water, offering a luxurious experience in harmony with nature. During your stay, enjoy meals made with the finest local ingredients from Nagano at "Hotarutei," a restaurant housed in a modernly renovated traditional farmhouse over 170 years old. With the concept of "Onkotakushin – Learning from the past to create the new," we provide a rich and relaxing time in a space where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly.

  • Both the Room and the restaurant had a Japanese-modern design, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The Onsen water was excellent, and because it is free-flowing, I was able to enjoy it many times. It had been a while since I last enjoyed truly delicious Japanese cuisine. The chef is licensed to prepare fugu, and the fried fugu they prepared was exceptionally good. Next time, I’d love to try the full fugu course. I also heard that they ran a sushi restaurant for many years—no wonder the sashimi, carefully selected with the chef’s expert eye, was outstanding. The Japanese dishes and sushi prepared by the brothers were absolutely superb. A sushi course would be wonderful as well. This is an Accommodation where I’ll continue looking forward to the food in the future, and it has become one of the places I’d like to stay again. I had a truly enjoyable time. Thank you very much to all of the staff.

  • We stayed here to celebrate our child’s exam success. The international staff were very friendly and attentive, and we had no problems at all during our stay. The Room was spacious with multiple rooms, so each family member could relax in their own comfortable spot. The bath was also an Onsen, so pleasant that we went in again and again.Since check-out the next day is at 10:00, it was a shame that the fun time ended so quickly. I wish check-out were at 11:00.The meals were piled high with our favorites—crab, sashimi, and sushi—so much that we couldn’t finish everything. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving most of the meat.On our way out, we received bottled tea with a heartfelt message from the staff written on it, which made us very happy.Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.
