On January 31, 2026, we will open a new family lounge to enrich your time together: “KINOHA – Family Lounge & Library”. As a certified “Welcome Baby” Hotel, this Nasu Highlands resort offers a safe and comfortable stay for everyone from babies to adults. Surrounded by the nature of the Nasu Highlands, the spacious setting features kids’ areas both indoors and outdoors, so the whole family can relax in comfort. At “KINOHA – Family Lounge & Library,” wrapped in the warmth of wood, children can play while adults unwind in a space filled with picture books and books. Enjoy beer, soft drinks, and Dippin’ Dots ice cream—an inviting lounge where families can spend time together at ease. In addition, our “Evening Social,” included with all guest rooms, offers sparkling wine; red and white wine; beer; as well as coffee, juice, herb-infused water, other soft drinks, and light snacks.

  • My son’s first Hotel stay was amazing!

    The all-inclusive plan was very satisfying for families with children. I personally felt nostalgic about the little crunchy ice treats—they reminded me of my childhood, and they were really delicious! The Room was spacious and beautifully renovated, so it felt very clean. The building itself is probably older, so the unit bathroom was extremely small, but it wasn’t an issue since we could use the large public bath. The kids’ area was spacious and really helpful. We planned to use the pool, but it wasn’t open due to unexpectedly low temperatures and weather—this is my only regret. The food was delicious, and they didn’t strictly enforce time limits, so even while juggling our child we were able to eat plenty for the first time in a while. (My recommendations are the kanpyo with wasabi at breakfast and the simmered yuba at dinner.) Our 1-year-and-10-month-old son also seemed to enjoy his first Hotel stay—he was all smiles. (The surprise stuffed toy that came with our Room was adorable; he wouldn’t let go of it, and it made me happy too.) We will definitely come again! Thank you very much!

    It was clean, the food was delicious, and the children seemed to have fun playing. The Room amenities were limited, so it would have been perfect if there had been more amenities such as a hair dryer and skincare lotion.

    Opening January 31, 2026, “KINOHA Family Lounge & Library” is a versatile lounge where families can spend quiet time surrounded by the gentle textures of wood and tatami mats.
    Designed so you can relax, read, and play comfortably in one space, it is also safe and welcoming for guests with young children.


    ■ Read
    We offer picture books and children’s books, as well as titles related to nature, travel, and the local area—plus approximately 3,000 comic books.
    Enjoy reading together as a family, let children discover picture books at their own pace, or unwind with comics—everyone can spend time here in their own way.

    ■ Play
    We provide wooden toys selected by age group, along with educational cards and board games the whole family can enjoy together.
    With digital drawing on a touch monitor, you can freely express yourself by coloring large images or adding your own lines on the screen. The sketches feature popular animals from Nasu Animal Kingdom—such as Pallas’s cats (manuls), sand cats, and alpacas—and are intentionally designed with open space so children can add details to complete each picture.

    In addition to a free drink bar and a beer server, we also offer Dippin’ Dots ice cream known for its fun bead-like texture.
