Do you know Notojima Island? It is a beautiful, nature-rich island floating as if embraced by the food treasure trove of the Noto Peninsula. In 2023, Hokuriku’s first—and one of Japan’s rare—sushi auberges was born here. After overcoming the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake and resuming operations, we were selected for the “MICHELIN One Key” two years in a row in 2025 and 2026. Premium ingredients nurtured by the Sea of Japan are crafted into exquisite sushi by artisans trained at renowned establishments in Ginza and Kanazawa. With only six guest rooms, every room offers an ocean view. Along with our private-use wood-fired sauna, you can take in sweeping views of tranquil Nanao Bay. On clear days, the Tateyama Mountain Range appears like a mirage—and if you’re lucky, wild dolphins may even surface nearby. Savor to your heart’s content a one-of-a-kind sensory experience found only here, and a soothing sense of oneness with the magnificent Earth inspired by satoyama-satoumi landscapes.

  • A Wonderful Time

    I was truly comforted by the General Manager’s thoughtfulness and the warm hospitality of all the staff. Thank you very much.The only disappointment was at checkout: I purchased two packs of seaweed salt that I had enjoyed with my meal as souvenirs, and they were bagged for me, but ginger miso was inside instead. It was my fault for not checking the contents, but I only noticed when I got home and opened the bag, hoping to enjoy the seaweed salt and relive the wonderful meal.

  • I was able to spend a quiet, relaxing time.

    Our first time in Noto.Every year, we stay at various seaside places on family trips, and this time we were able to spend a truly memorable moment.You kindly checked in with us about the view affected by the earthquake, but we felt that was part of our connection as well, and we want to cherish it.Everyone on Notojima was so warm, and it was clear how deeply they care for Noto—it really came through to us. The hospitality here is the best we have experienced among all the Accommodations we have stayed at.The sushi dinner featured mostly local ingredients from Noto and the surrounding area. Everything was so fresh—full of items we don’t usually get to eat—and we were genuinely impressed. The staff’s every gesture was pleasant, making our stay very comfortable.For breakfast, we enjoyed a delicious meal while looking out at the sea and feeling time pass slowly. I believe their commitment to local ingredients and caring for what matters is what makes it taste so good. It’s not an easy place for us to revisit due to the distance, but this is a truly wonderful Accommodation that makes us want to return in another season.

How to Spend Your Time at “I Notojima”

From check-in to check-out, we invite you to relax and enjoy an unhurried stay. In addition to mealtimes, our on-site bar lounge is the perfect place for a drink while chatting with your companions or our staff at check-in or after dinner. Our private spa and sauna offer a quiet, wordless escape for deep relaxation. As an optional special activity during your stay—or before or after it—we also offer private cruises departing from the pier just below the property. Enjoy dolphin watching in Nanao Bay, home to wild dolphins, or take in a beautiful sunset cruise. The island also features a golf course with spectacular views and one of Japan’s clearest swimming beaches.

  • Notice of Changes to Our All-Inclusive Services

    Thank you very much for your continued patronage.
    Since opening, we have welcomed guests with an “all-inclusive” style in which beverage charges were included in the room rate. However, as prices for ingredients and other goods continue to rise, we have decided to review our services so that we can keep accommodation rates as unchanged as possible and continue offering more guests the opportunity to enjoy their time with us.

    Effective for stays from September 1, 2026 onward, beverages ordered during meals will be provided for a fee.

    Until now, this has been especially popular among guests who enjoy alcoholic drinks; going forward, we aim to create a space where everyone—including those who do not drink alcohol—can stay more fairly and comfortably.
    Please note that welcome drinks and the in-room minibar will remain complimentary. We hope you will relax with a drink after your arrival.

    We will continue striving to provide hospitality that meets your expectations.
    We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

    For stays through August 31, our services will remain unchanged.
    However, please note that the following items are not included in the price:
    - Certain beverages such as Japanese whisky (a menu is available)
    - Drinks or food other than what is pre-stocked in the guest room (we do not offer room service)

  • Accessibility Information

    Our property has two floors; however, due to the nature of the facility, there is no elevator. If you are concerned about using the stairs, such as elderly guests, we recommend booking Room KUKI or NEYA.
    Please also note that stairs must be used to access the private spa and sauna. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Impact of the Earthquake and Views from Guest Rooms

    Following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024, we resumed normal operations on April 19, 2024. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has offered support and words of encouragement.
    In front of the four guest rooms—MAGARI, KUKI, SANAMI, and NEYA—there is a work site operated by Ishikawa Prefecture that is being used for recovery and reconstruction work following the earthquake. As a result, depending on the day, cranes or other equipment may be visible from your window. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause during your stay and kindly ask for your understanding as part of Noto’s recovery efforts. For guests seeking the best views from their room, we recommend staying in SUSO or KODA.

There is a parking lot directly across the road from our property. The 8 spaces on the left side are for guests. Two of these (the two leftmost spaces) are equipped with DMM EV ON EV chargers.
