ITOMACHI HOTEL 0 is Japan’s first zero-energy Hotel, designed to coexist with this rich natural environment. Architectural design by Kengo Kuma has been recognized for balancing environmental responsibility with a comfortable stay, earning the 2024 Good Design Award and the iF Design Award 2025. The Hotel has also been featured in the MICHELIN Guide hotel selection, attracting attention from Japan and abroad. In March 2026, the villa rooms reopened after renovation as “Bettei Aoyama Ryokusui.” These standalone rooms feature natural Onsen baths, allowing you to relax and enjoy unhurried time in complete privacy. The blessings of Saijo’s renowned water, dining experiences that highlight local ingredients, and soothing Onsen moments come together to create an ideal getaway to refresh both body and mind.   • Enjoy a spacious, relaxing atmosphere

    Stayed overnight after sightseeing at Besshi Copper Mine from Dogo Onsen.　Conveniently close to the interchange. You do pass through the city center, but I loved the relaxed atmosphere of this Hotel and the marche.　The Room has lots of window space, and I also liked the layout of the bed, sink area, and bath. The view was satisfying too (I had learned from Reviews in advance that you can see the parking lot), with a nice open outlook into the distance.　All staff were polite and refreshing—matching the Hotel’s overall vibe.　Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, with just the right amount and quality.　I also used the lounge.　Buildings designed by Kengo Kuma have been increasing in various places I’ve visited before, but they’re so popular everywhere that it can be hard to enjoy them at my own pace...Here, though, I was able to take my time and enjoy the spaces—the lounge, around the stairs up to the Hotel, and more. I’ll stay again.

  • It was a wonderful Hotel.

    It was a very good Hotel. It was stylish with a sophisticated design, yet it felt relaxed and comfortable rather than tense. We came to Ehime for the first time on our honeymoon, and wanted a beautiful Accommodation surrounded by nature, so we chose ITOMACHI HOTEL0. First of all, the staff were very kind and created a great atmosphere. Thanks to them, we felt this would be a wonderful trip. The Room was very clean, simple with no waste, and comfortable to use. I also slept surprisingly well. Outside, it’s surrounded by mountains—with fresh air, expansive views, and quiet surroundings—so we could truly unwind even inside the Hotel. The reason I rated the bath 4 stars is simply because I personally wished the shower pressure were a bit stronger. Staying at such a lovely Hotel made this trip truly memorable. Thank you very much. When we visit Ehime again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

[By Car]
From Matsuyama Airport, it takes about 60 minutes via the Matsuyama Expressway and the Iyo-Saijo IC. From Iyo-Saijo IC to the Hotel is about 10–15 minutes. From Hiroshima or Okayama, you can also reach us via the Shimanami Kaido. We offer free parking for 77 vehicles with no Reservation required. Parking for large buses is also available.

[By Train]
The nearest station is JR Yosan Line “Iyo-Saijo Station.” It takes about 60 minutes from Matsuyama Station by Limited Express Shiokaze, and about 1 hour 40 minutes from Okayama Station. From Iyo-Saijo Station to the Hotel, it is about an 8–10 minute taxi ride. On foot, it takes around 20–30 minutes, so we recommend taking a taxi. Please note that we do not offer Shuttle Service.

From Matsuyama Airport, in addition to rental cars, you can use a reservation-only shared shuttle bus connecting the airport with the Saijo and Niihama areas.
