Snow Peak FIELD SUITE SPA HEADQUARTERS
Niigata Prefecture/Sanjo CitySnow Peak’s first integrated resort where you can enjoy bathing, dining, and staying while immersed in nature.
The first phase of the "Snow Peak Future Concept Project." This is Snow Peak's first nature-inspired integrated resort centered around a hot spring facility. "FIELD SUITE SPA HEADQUARTERS" is designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma and features a hot spring facility, restaurant, and accommodation. Enjoy the open-air bath with stunning views of Mount Awagatake, one of Japan's 300 famous mountains, or relax in the sauna that evokes the feeling of gathering around a campfire. The restaurant offers menus crafted with local ingredients, fostering deep connections with producers. For accommodations, we offer villa buildings (2 types, 3 villas) and mobile houses called "JYUBAKO," co-developed by Kengo Kuma and Snow Peak. Each aspect is designed to harmonize with nature, allowing you to experience Niigata's four seasons seamlessly.
I came here to relax. I love camping too, but I really wanted to unwind, and I’d been wanting to visit because it seemed like I could enjoy both—so we stayed in Snow Peak’s JYUBAKO.It was so wonderful that I want to make it a must-do once a year. My husband was very satisfied as well, and we definitely want to come back.Dinner was great, of course, and breakfast was also delicious—we were full and completely satisfied.Thank you for a wonderful time.
ペコメル 4/13/2026This is a Hotel I’ve wanted to visit ever since it opened. The design is wonderful from the moment you enter the entrance, and the Room made me feel like I was staying at an overseas Resort Hotel. The birdsong was soothing and relaxing. There were plenty of drinks available, including alcohol. Since drinking on an empty stomach isn’t ideal, I think it would be even better if there were light snacks such as nuts.It was disappointing that neither the open-air bath nor the indoor bath uses Onsen water. In the end, swimsuits were provided so I tried the open-air bath, but only stayed in for a few minutes. The indoor bath had a beautiful design, but I didn’t use it. The large public bath had an open-air bath and a sauna as well, and I liked its stylish atmosphere. Because it was a weekday in the off-season, it felt almost private and I really enjoyed my bathing time. However, after dinner I waited a while for digestion and ended up going after 9 p.m., so I couldn’t relax for long. I understand there is cleaning time as well, but it would be great if the last entry could be extended to 11 p.m.Dinner was creative cuisine with a Japanese-French feel. Everything was delicious and brought out the best of each ingredient—I was very satisfied. The crispy-yet-fluffy texture of the sea bream skin especially stayed with me. After dinner we watched the bonfire, and after breakfast we enjoyed coffee on our Room terrace—such a luxurious time. There are also two Snow Peak shops on site, so we enjoyed shopping too. It’s a bit far away, but even with just one night we had a very fulfilling stay.Thank you very much.

About Architecture
The design, inspired by the rugged mountain range visible from Mount Awagatake, is the work of world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma. The eaves that welcome visitors are designed to evoke the image of firewood essential for a campfire. All earthen walls and wood used in the interior are crafted from the natural blessings of Niigata, blending seamlessly with the nature and seasons of Shimoda-go.

Spend time reflecting on yourself in a location that blends seamlessly with nature. Experience the changing seasons and the passage of time as if you were living amidst nature. Immerse yourself in the vibrant scenery of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and enjoy a slow, harmonious connection with nature.

Restaurant "Yukimine," offering a view of Mount Kurigatake, one of Japan's 300 famous mountains, provides a unique location where you can enjoy your meal while taking in the vast natural scenery below.
