A boutique Hotel in Korinbo, Kanazawa’s hub of culture and beauty, offering a new way to experience Kanazawa.
Located in Korinbo, Kanazawa, close to Kenrokuen Garden and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, the boutique Hotel “Korin-kyo”. Housed in a renovated building that once belonged to Mambido Gallery, long known for dealing in Kutani ware and fine crafts from around the world. The interior design and spatial concept are inspired by the distinctive arches of the original architecture.
We woke up early and went for a walk to Kanazawa Castle Park and Oyama Shrine. It was wonderful to be able to pray in a quiet, uncrowded atmosphere. It was great that we could stay at Korinkyo as the perfect starting point for the morning. The night before, we enjoyed plenty of drinks and food, so the breakfast rice porridge was incredibly delicious. The soy milk served before the meal was also excellent. We would love to visit again.
日本富士見亭 7/22/2026As this Accommodation is a renovation of a former art gallery, it was unique and wonderful. Because the price difference between Rooms is quite large, it’s hard to decide whether to choose a Room with a bathtub or a shower-only Room and use the rooftop sauna instead. (This time, I chose the latter.)From the rooftop sauna and lounge, you can see the park and buildings right in front of you—an excellent location. If you use the sauna, it was also great that a sauna hat and swimsuit are included in the fee. The self löyly with their homemade distilled water was fantastic, and 90 minutes flew by. It was disappointing that the isolation tank was unavailable due to adjustments. On Sundays, some nearby restaurants are closed or shut early, so I walked around looking for somewhere to have dinner. I think it would be nice to have more options for dinner at the Accommodation rather than only breakfast. The Taiwanese-style breakfast (rice porridge) felt fresh, but next time I’d like to try the bento option instead. The lounge drink service was wonderful—there were alcoholic drinks at night as well—and it was a very pleasant space, but I think it would have been even better if there were simple snacks such as dried items. It’s within walking distance of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa; Oyama Shrine is also nearby; and there are Kutani ware shops and specialty Kaga-fu (wheat gluten) stores as well, making it convenient as a sightseeing base. This time I took a bus from Kanazawa Station, but it also felt like an easy distance to walk while exploring the city. The Room was spacious, with a few books by the bedside; thoughtful lighting; original tea bags; designer loungewear; and multiple photogenic spots and focal points throughout—making for an enjoyable stay. The original amenities smelled great, and overall it felt very comfortable.Overall, if you stay in one of the higher-priced Rooms you might find it slightly lacking value for money; however, for solo travel, choosing a shower-only Room and adding options like the sauna or tank seems likely to be more satisfying. When I visit again solo, I’d like to stay here on a day other than Sunday (since my nearby Kanazawa oden spot is closed), during a period when I can use the tank.

Introduction of the Accommodation
A boutique Hotel with an on-site distillery in Kanazawa’s Korinbo district
A gallery long known for showcasing fine crafts from around the world, including Kutani ware, has been renovated. In this city—an enduring hub of beauty from Kenrokuen Garden to the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art—a stay-style space called “Korinkyo” was created to explore how beauty is understood in the Eastern world and to put that vision into practice.

Guest Room
A serene, secluded retreat with a quiet presence, thoughtfully appointed with comfortable modern interiors. A place to soothe travel fatigue and enjoy your stay at your own pace—offering a refined and enriching time.

At our on-site distillery, we distill forest botanicals from Mt. Hakusan, allowing you to enjoy their aromas in your guest room and in the sauna. In our shop, we offer Korinkyo’s original amenity brand “Petrichor,” as well as aromatic hydrosols and essential oils produced at the distillery.

An isolation tank is a device that blocks out light and sound, allowing you to float your entire body in a highly concentrated Epsom salt solution. In a space that feels like zero gravity, you can enter a deep meditative state and free your mind and body from everyday noise—guiding you to an unparalleled level of relaxation. Reservation only: 150 minutes ¥9,900 per person Available time slots 17:00, 17:30, 20:00, 20:30, 8:00 the next day, 8:30 the next day

Enjoy exclusive use of a Finnish-style sauna room (capacity: 4 guests). For löyly, you can use aromatic distilled water extracted from Hakusan forest botanicals with our in-house distiller. The private terrace for outdoor relaxation also features an open-air bath and a cold plunge pool. Enjoy a sauna experience that sharpens your senses with the colors, aromas, and fresh air of the Hakusan foothills.
