In April 2021, as a Hotel perched atop the station building adjacent to JR Kumamoto Station's Shirakawa Exit (East Exit), the entire Hotel was designed with the concept of "Kumamoto Goten" to become a new symbol of Kumamoto. Stepping inside, you will be greeted by numerous lanterns inspired by the Yamaga Thousand Lanterns, scattering a warm "light," and you can feel the Kumamoto sky spreading out as the backdrop of the glass-walled lobby. The Hotel offers a variety of Facilities to ensure a fulfilling stay, including guest rooms averaging over 27 square meters inspired by Kumamoto's nature, a large public bath adorned with stone and natural elements, a fitness area illuminated by skylights, and dining at a restaurant that uses an abundance of ingredients sourced from Kyushu.
I stayed for business with a No Meals Included plan, and overall it was a chic, luxurious Hotel. I’ve stayed at other Hotels in the same group in different areas, but Kumamoto is the best.From the entrance, it had a wonderful atmosphere and a very pleasant scent. Everything was just right, and I had a very comfortable stay.However, there were also some disappointing points.About some overseas guests:Even if I overlook the lack of elevator etiquette (forcing their way in even when people are getting off),I was shocked to see someone using a video call (the other party sounded like a man) in the large public bath changing area.
As it was my first stay, the parking area and the route from the parking area to the lobby were a bit difficult to find, but it was a very satisfying Hotel. The Room size was just right, and above all, its cleanliness was what I found most satisfying. It also felt luxurious and made me feel like I was wealthy. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to use again.
