Established in the 14th year of Tenpō. A long-established property in Tsuetate Onsen with the concept of a Japanese-style auberge.

There is a mysterious legend about the origin of the name "Tsuetate." It is said that during the early Heian period, the great Buddhist monk Kobo Daishi Kukai visited this area during his travels and was deeply impressed by the benefits of the Onsen. When he planted his bamboo staff into the ground, it is said that branches and leaves sprouted from its nodes, giving rise to the name. Additionally, it is also said that the Onsen's miraculous effects were so profound that sick or elderly visitors who came leaning on canes would forget their canes by the time they left. Please enjoy your stay in Tsuetate to the fullest.
