In 1897, the story of Atami began with the novel "The Golden Demon" by Koyo Ozaki. A bronze statue depicting a famous scene from the drama and Omiya's Pine Tree standing nearby as if watching over it. In this privileged location, right in front of these symbols of Atami, Pearl Star Hotel was born. Main Lobby

The main lobby features a 10-meter-high ceiling adorned with split bamboo patterns and lattice columns inspired by traditional Japanese shelves, creating the ambiance of a sukiya-style townscape. Passing through the welcome porch, guests are greeted by a lobby reminiscent of an inkstone room and a corridor decorated with shimmering mica finishes. The reception counter is crafted from a single slab of natural zelkova wood, designed to resemble an oar for rowing boats. At the center of the lobby lies a water basin made from Izu's distinctive jet-black lava stone, beautifully complemented by seasonal floral arrangements to welcome guests.

Anchor Gate

The exterior of the Hotel features a modern yet traditional design inspired by machiya-style lattice shades and adorned with basalt, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. The stately columns, accented with burnished gold, exude grandeur. From the moment you arrive, a new story begins for every guest. The striking red-toned artwork adorning the lobby walls is a masterpiece by renowned plaster craftsman and artist, Arise Kusumi. With bold trowel techniques, subtle surface variations are created, evoking diverse images through the play of light.
