In the old town of Nara, in the popular historic district of Naramachi with its traditional streetscape, you’ll find “Kaze no Naramachi.” This small Hotel has only eight rooms, preserving the beauty and craftsmanship of a traditional Japanese house—such as its kura storehouse and tea room—while offering modern comfort and functionality. With “SAKE HOTEL” as our concept—befitting the birthplace of sake—you can enjoy pairings of Toyosawa Shuzo’s sake with locally sourced fusion cuisine. Depending on the season, rare sakes may also be available. To help make your trip even more fulfilling, we also provide guidance on nearby sightseeing spots.   • Your First Visit to Nara

    It was my first time visiting Nara.I was very satisfied with my first stay at Kaze no Naramachi. The hospitality was wonderful in every aspect—from the service and the Room to the meals and thoughtful care. The weather was bad, so sightseeing did not go as planned, but I would like to stay again and fully enjoy what Nara has to offer.Thank you as well for the delicious sake.

We restored the earthen-floored space of what was once a residential building and added a counter-style restaurant. Enjoy dishes that highlight the rich flavors of Nara’s ingredients, perfectly paired with a carefully selected range of sake from Toyosawa Brewery. We also offer freshly pressed sake delivered directly from the brewery, as well as exclusive selections available only at our Hotel. Savor Japanese sake to your heart’s content at the restaurant located right next to the guest rooms.
