A picture-perfect panorama of Dogashima’s sea and islands. Indulge in an exclusive stay with only six rooms.

Filled with the miracles of sea and land. The Izu Peninsula, recognized as a “UNESCO Global Geopark,” offers countless natural wonders of sea and land—like gifts from ancient times. In December 2018, Mayu Nibari was born in Dogashima, Nishi-Izu: an Accommodation where you can fully savor the Geopark’s breathtaking scenery. Two separate buildings face the sea—dotted with beautiful islets—from different angles. Limited to just six parties, this hot-spring Accommodation offers an unprecedented luxury: one exclusive Room per building for each guest party to enjoy.

  • Although we arrived early, we were promptly shown to our Room as the cleaning had already been completed. We knew in advance that a private dining Room would be prepared for meals, but it was even more spacious and comfortable than we expected, and we truly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The main Room was designed like a Maldives Resort Hotel, with a large bath and a wonderful view. There was also a water dispenser and a separate ice maker, which we really appreciated. All of the food was delicious; however, dinner felt like too much for us in our sixties. On the other hand, breakfast came with many side dishes, and my husband seemed to feel there wasn’t quite enough rice. From the manager to all of the staff, everyone was genuinely pleasant, making our stay comfortable from start to finish. We would love to visit again in winter.

  • With two typhoons approaching, we debated whether to cancel our weekend stay. However, wanting to relive the wonderful experience from our previous visit, we decided to go ahead despite the storm. Fortunately, we arrived without being affected by the typhoons. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, it was a truly memorable night. Thank you sincerely every time.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Interior

Wrapped in two cocoons floating on the deep blue sea.

With a history spanning around 20 million years, the Izu Peninsula took on its present landscape about 600,000 years ago. In spring 2018, it was designated a UNESCO Global Geopark. Nishi-Izu and Dogashima in particular offer breathtaking natural wonders—floating islets and sea caves—that continue to inspire visitors today. In Dogashima, Mayu Nibari was also born in 2018. Across two buildings featuring reclaimed beams from traditional old houses, we offer two “Mayu” (special Rooms). Enjoy your time in each Room while savoring the comfort of being gently wrapped in a “cocoon.”
