In the spring of 2019, the long-loved apartment hotel for extended stays, "Kitano Arms," was renovated and reborn as a luxury boutique hotel, "The Kitano Hotel Tokyo." Located west of the Imperial Palace, Hirakawacho is an area with a rich history. Once part of the outer moat of Edo Castle, it was home to samurai residences as well as townhouses for merchants and craftsmen. During the Meiji era, it became a residential area for military officers, cultural figures, and politicians.
