  • Himeji for the First Time in 15 Years

    It was my first trip to Himeji in a while, and staying at Hotel Monterey was absolutely the right choice. The access from the station was convenient, and the Hotel’s interior and atmosphere were relaxing and soothing. They also accommodated my Room request, and I was happy to see the wonderful smiles of the staff. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again. Thank you very much.

    We have been notified that, due to seismic reinforcement work on the platform canopy at JR Himeji Station, construction noise may occur during nighttime hours in the period(s) listed below.
    We have requested that the contractor minimize any impact on our guests; however, depending on the work location and wind direction, noise may be audible.

    Please note the following during the inspection:
    ■ Some elevators will be available; however, which elevators can be used will vary by time period.
    For access between floors 1–3, guests may be asked to use the stairs during certain hours (1:00 AM–3:30 AM).
    ■ Internet access will not be available.
    *Devices that require continuous power supply (such as PCs) cannot be used.*
    *Please do not leave computers or other electronic devices plugged into outlets, as there is a risk of data loss.*
    ■ Hot water supply / air conditioning / internet lines / TV / electrical outlets will not be available.
    *The hot water system will stop (neither water nor hot water will be available).* After service is restored, air in the pipes may cause reddish water from bathroom and sink faucets. When using them again, please run the tap for a while first and check the water.
    *TV power will be restored during the above time period; however, TV broadcasting will not be available from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM.*
    ■ Room lighting cannot be used.
    *During the outage, emergency lights in guest Rooms will turn on.*
    ■ Heating and cooling systems cannot be used.
    As refrigerators may temporarily lose cooling performance, please refrain from storing items that are particularly susceptible to temperature changes (especially frozen foods).
    ■ The multi-story parking garage cannot be used (no entry/exit). If you need to exit during the above hours, please inform us at check-in.
