Oyado Tsukiyo no Usagi (Kyoritsu Resort)

This property is in an ideal location for early-morning visits to Izumo Taisha Shrine. There’s also a FamilyMart convenience store very close by, which was extremely handy.During our stay, we enjoyed five types of private open-air baths, and felt refreshed both mentally and physically.The rabbit gaufrettes provided in the Room were perfect as travel souvenirs, and we also discovered the appeal of Izumo Winery.My first trip to Izumo left a strong impression with its lush green rural scenery—it was a truly mystical town with many different birds flying about.There are still so many places in Shimane I’d like to visit, so I’m already looking forward to coming back!

It’s about a 10-minute walk from Izumo Taisha, but the route is a gentle uphill slope. Inasa Beach is also technically within walking distance, but it felt a bit far on foot. I’m glad we went by car.The facilities were clean, and the staff were kind.There are five private baths, so at least one was available, and we were able to try all of them.My skin felt incredibly smooth afterward, and I appreciated the lactic acid drink after bathing.The dinner buffet included crab and tempura, but personally I loved the breakfast seafood bowl with salmon roe and minced tuna. The stick-shaped butter rolls were delicious—I ate several.I’d definitely like to stay here again when visiting Izumo.
