In a place where you can witness the most beautiful moon in Japan, we envisioned creating a hidden retreat, and that dream led us to the serene forest of Kurokawa Onsen. "Kurokawa Onsen Gokoro Tsukikouju" is a Property where you can enjoy moonlight bathing in an open-air Onsen, while gazing at the moon shining in the sky. On a vast 4,500-tsubo estate, there are only eight villas. Each Room is uniquely designed and decorated, filled with delightful surprises. With the sound of the wind through the forest and the chirping of birds as your background music, surround yourself with only what you love and what is delicious, and indulge in the comfort of letting time flow naturally. This is a Property that promises such luxurious moments for adults.
I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, but this was the first one that felt absolutely flawless!I fell in love at first sight with the stunning rock bath scenery on YouTube and made a Reservation for the Yoimachi Room. The open-air bath was spacious, and the view from it was so breathtaking it nearly brought me to tears. The hot spring water was silky-smooth, and my skin felt amazing!The food was also delicious, and even the rice tasted exceptional.The nikujaga served at breakfast was so good that I’d love to ask—if you don’t mind—whether the soy sauce you use is light soy sauce or a type used mainly in Kyushu.The Room was wonderfully quiet as well, and I could truly relax. I definitely want to come back for a special occasion. Next year, I’ll visit one of your sister properties too.
まこぴんく 8/13/2026We stayed at this Accommodation and were satisfied with everything. The luxurious L-shaped bath that extends from the Room to the outside is exceptional. The food, in particular, is delicious! If I may ask one thing, when moving guests’ private cars, please do not change the air-conditioning settings. When I got back into my car, it was set to LO with the fan on full blast and roaring. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to visiting again.

The meaning behind the name '月洸樹'
The character "洸" in the name of the Property combines "water" and "light." A place surrounded by abundant flowing water, the moonlight in the sky, and the greenery of the earth. Everything necessary from nature is present, and you will be protected by the laws of nature at the Property "Moon洸Tree."
A beautiful Japanese-modern Room with a serene atmosphere and the warmth of wood. Each unit is designed with a unique theme reflecting different eras, cultures, and tastes, offering delightful surprises. It is a space where you can relax comfortably while experiencing moments of joy and inspiration.
In addition to the indoor and open-air baths in each Room, we also offer an open-air bath at the mountaintop within the premises, where you can enjoy the scenery of Kurokawa. With the outer rim of Mount Aso to the south and the majestic mountains of Oguni to the north, this is a 360° open-air bath with natural hot spring water. The highlight is at night, where you can immerse yourself in the blissful moment under a sky full of stars and the radiant moonlight in the clear air. This is a luxurious open-air bath surrounded by Japan's four seasons and a sparkling starry sky.
