Situated at an altitude of approximately 150 meters, this Onsen destination offers breathtaking views of Beppu Bay and the cityscape below. At night, guests can enjoy a stunning panorama of sparkling city lights. One of Matsubaya's highlights is its private open-air baths in guest rooms, offering spectacular views and ultimate relaxation.

  • We had a relaxing stay as a family!

    We stayed in a Maisonette Suite Room.The night view was wonderful, and being able to watch the sunrise from the in-room bath was the best. It happened to be a day when fireworks were launched from the sea, so after dinner our family enjoyed watching them from our Room. We made great memories spending relaxed time together as a family—such a luxurious experience.Both dinner and breakfast were excellent—delicious and very filling. The staff were also incredibly kind, and we definitely want to come again. This is an Accommodation I’d love to recommend to friends.It was such a lovely place that our children said they didn’t want to go home and wanted a Multiple Night Stay! We were also able to use all of the private baths, which was fantastic. Thank you very much.

    This time, at Ryokan Matsubaya, the first "Club Lounge" exclusively for guests in Beppu City has opened.

    It is available only to guests staying at the new building Tsukino-Omoi, so the number of users is limited, and it is set to avoid crowding.
