Takamiya Mogamigawa Villa Beni
Yamagata Prefecture/Mogamikyo Kusanagi OnsenEnjoy breathtaking views of the Mogami River, Onsen, and exquisite cuisine at the renowned accommodation "Takamiya" in Yamagata.
Long ago, the Mogami River flourished as a vital waterway carrying culture and commerce. The surrounding scenery shifts with each passing moment of the seasons, reflected on the gently flowing surface. Its picturesque beauty has long been cherished by great figures such as Matsuo Basho and Bokusui Wakayama. Feel the breeze on your skin and let yourself be embraced by the elegant views of the Mogami River, where its timeless flow seems to ease your mind. Please enjoy a quiet, unhurried stay while reflecting on the history that has been passed down through generations.
I love mountains and rivers, and this was my first stay because you can see both from the Room. As expected, you can see the Mogami River from the Room window, the open-air bath, and the dining area. I could also see the torii gate across the river. With only a small number of Rooms, I was truly able to relax. The Room had a lovely Tsugaru lacquerware sweets container. The open-air bath was quite hot so I didn’t stay in long, but my skin still felt wonderfully smooth afterward. One thing I personally appreciated was that the hair dryer in the women’s bath had strong airflow. All of the staff were very thoughtful, and it’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.
一歩一年 8/2/2026We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. The meals were excellent in both quantity and quality, truly delicious. The compact layout of the facility made it very easy to navigate. If I had to mention one thing, it would be nice to have one more bath available. The open-air bath along the Mogami River offered stunning views. As for Tozawa Village, there seems to be no convenience store—or perhaps just one? This actually helped us disconnect from daily life and relax completely. Thank you so much for everything! We look forward to visiting again.
