We stayed with three couples we know. The Room was spacious and clean, earning high marks. The bath was a proper Onsen.Because of the rain, the outdoor bath temperature was a little lukewarm, but once you soak in it, you warm up nicely. The sound of the clear stream in front was soothing, and it felt like being surrounded by negative ions.At dinner, the appetizer course in particular was delicious—delicate and enjoyable with a variety of flavors. It alone pairs well with plenty of drinks. The meal portions were very generous, and we couldn’t finish the final rice dish. I recommend arriving hungry.Breakfast rice was also delicious and very satisfying. The staff were attentive and greeted us with warm smiles. The Accommodation isn’t large, but it offers great hospitality and tasty meals, so I think it’s excellent value for money.Since it’s right by the river, we felt it’s an Accommodation where you can relax while listening to the clear stream. It’s an Accommodation I would recommend to other friends as well. We’d love to visit again.
Nao_93 6/8/2026We stayed here for the second time in a full year, on a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This time we enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The building is set in a spot that feels surrounded by the murmur of the river. It was pouring rain on the day we arrived, but from the second day onward it cleared up, and we enjoyed walks while listening to the water. The Tsuchiyu Onsen town isn’t very large, so you can easily stroll around to souvenir shops and the tourist information center. This year as well, we visited Kumano Shrine and bought Tsuchiyu kokeshi dolls at Matsuya. The baths are as pleasant as ever, with rich mineral water. This time the bath in our Room was quite hot, so we used the private baths more often. The building is clean, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. The staff’s gentle local accent is also very soothing. The meals focus on locally sourced ingredients and include regional dishes—everything is truly delicious. Staying at this Accommodation makes us like Fukushima even more.On our second day we drove out to Aizu; it’s just over an hour each way, and you can enjoy a comfortable drive with views of Mt. Bandai along the way.Overall, this is an Accommodation with extremely high satisfaction, and Tsuchiyu Onsen itself has an atmosphere where time seems to slow down—highly recommended for anyone looking for an unhurried getaway.
