Auberge Hanaki is a culinary Ryokan located in Izu-Ito Onsen, exclusively accommodating two groups per day. The Japanese-modern space, blending traditional and contemporary styles, offers a soothing retreat. There are only two rooms, each featuring an ancient hinoki wood bath. This is a small auberge situated along a tranquil riverside.

    I’m truly sorry for having to rush you due to our circumstances, but the meal was absolutely wonderful—everything from the tableware and presentation to the flavors. I only wish we could have enjoyed it more slowly.My son also said he definitely wants to visit again, so next time I hope we can invite my daughter and her husband and come together.We stayed in a Room on the 3rd floor. I can go up and down stairs normally now, but when my knees were bad, stairs were not possible for me. It may be a bit difficult for guests who need a cane.

    I returned for the first time in 10 years, inspired by memories of the delicious meals.The renovated bath was wonderfully relaxing with its pleasant woody aroma, and I enjoyed it many times during my stay.The cuisine was outstanding—beautifully presented and full of flavor, using a wide variety of ingredients.Next time, I’d like to visit again sooner and in a different season.I was able to unwind at a leisurely pace over two days. Get off at JR Ito Station on the JR Ito Line, then take a taxi for about 10 minutes. The fare is approximately 1,000 yen (as of October 2007). Alternatively, get off at Minami-Ito Station on the JR Ito Line and walk for about 10 minutes.

■By Car
From Tokyo: Take the Tomei Expressway to Atsugi I.C., then via Odawara-Atsugi Road to Atami, follow Route 135 to Ito, and continue on Route 136 to our facility.

From Nagoya: Take the Tomei Expressway to Numazu I.C., then via Route 136 through Ohito and follow Route 136 through Ito to our facility.
