An Onsen accommodation with uniquely designed guest rooms set on a vast land spanning the Ureshino River.

Ureshino Onsen, cherished as a post town since the Edo period. Wataiya Bessou originated from a rest house used by the Shimazu Satsuma clan traveling along the Nagasaki road. Today, Wataiya Bessou is situated on a spacious 30,000-tsubo property along the gently flowing Ureshino River. Enjoy creating delightful memories with family and friends or spending special moments with your partner in this extraordinary space spanning the river.

  • We appreciate your flexibility in adjusting the meal time even when we couldn’t arrive as scheduled due to traffic.Regarding the large public bath, it closes at 9:30 a.m., so we would be grateful if it could stay open a little longer in the morning.Thank you for your courteous service.

  • Whenever I visit Ureshino, I stay at Wataya Besso or Suimeiso. The atmosphere is wonderful, the hot springs are excellent, and the food is top-notch. The warm hospitality of the staff is also one of the reasons it feels so relaxing. The tenant tea salon “TSUBAKI” was as popular as expected, with a very comfortable vibe and a wide selection of cocktails that pair beautifully with tea.Perhaps because the area is quite humid, there were a few spots in the corridors with a slight musty smell, which was somewhat noticeable. It was also convenient—surprisingly close to the expressway interchange, and there are rental cars available at Arashi Station.
