- Auberge de Primavera
An 11-room auberge nestled in the forest, an 8-minute walk from Karuizawa Station.
Renovated in August 2025, the entire property has been transformed into a new haven with luxurious rooms. All rooms are spacious 45㎡ suites with terraces, offering a serene retreat nestled in a tranquil forest. Each room's terrace provides a view of the beautiful pond in the courtyard. Choose from rooms with private saunas to soothe your travel fatigue, pet-friendly rooms to enjoy with your beloved dog, or open and airy maisonette-style accommodations. The facility also features a Japanese sake bar, "Onza Bar," where you can indulge in carefully selected premium sake, including local Shinshu specialties and Yoshikawa Brewery's "Afuri." Additionally, just a 5-minute walk away, the second restaurant "Pyrenees" offers seasonal hearth-cooked dishes prepared over a wood fire.
The meals were outstanding. Dinner met our expectations, and breakfast exceeded them. The vegetables, in particular, looked beautiful and tasted great. The Room was charming, and the bath was spacious and wonderful.
デブレ 8/20/2026I arrived early and they kindly stored my luggage, and from that moment until I left, the warm and welcoming service truly touched me. The French-style Room was charming and tastefully decorated, so I can see why the Reviews are rated so highly. And the breakfast served in the Room was absolutely delicious—I was thrilled! Everything was carefully prepared, and I especially remember the oval-shaped potatoes that were hollow inside. The potage soup and salad were also very tasty. I would love to stay at Primavera again—it’s a place where you can truly relax from the heart.
