In the serene mountain valley of Yufuin, where the air is crystal clear, a new Property with detached accommodations has been established amidst a natural forest of lush greenery in varying shades. Opening the door to the forest reveals a space embraced by nature, with birdsong and arches of trees welcoming you. At "Kusayane no Yado Ryunohige / Bettei Yumuta," we warmly welcome only 10 groups of guests—5 in detached accommodations and 5 in the main building. Indulge in kaiseki cuisine made with abundant local ingredients, enjoy the Onsen with a view of Mount Yufu, and experience the luxury of reserving an entire building for an extraordinary escape from the everyday.
At the end of our Golden Week trip to Beppu, we moved on to Yufuin.We stayed here for our final night.This time, we booked the “Carefully Selected Kyushu Wagyu Tenderloin Indulgence Plan” and spent one night in the PREMIUM Suite Room “Kunugi.”To sum it up, it was unquestionably a wonderful stay.First of all, the Room is spacious!A relaxing Japanese-style living room, plus a bedroom with a second living area.And the highlight is surely the open-air bath on the large terrace—amazingly, there are two baths: one fully open-air and one semi-open-air!The weather was great that day, so we enjoyed the breeze and long soaks.I was still in the bath right up until just before check-out (lol).The meal was also excellent—the main dish featured both tenderloin and Bungo chicken.It was also appreciated that anything we couldn’t finish could be served again the next morning.That said, it’s quite a generous portion, so those with smaller appetites should take note.The Accommodation staff’s service was at a very satisfying level.There are many other Accommodations in Yufuin I’d like to try someday, but this stay was a perfect finale to our Golden Week trip.
We stayed here for the first time on our wedding anniversary,A hidden Ryokan quietly nestled in the mountains.Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we were able to spend a relaxing, peaceful time.There is an Onsen with both indoor and outdoor baths,and we enjoyed it thoroughly.This is an Accommodation we’d love to visit again next year.

Each Room is uniquely designed, and all Rooms are equipped with a semi-open-air bath and a wooden deck.
Meals are crafted by a young chef who trained for nearly 10 years at luxury Ryokans in Yufuin and Beppu. Enjoy monthly changing creative Kaiseki cuisine, centered around carefully selected "Oita Wagyu" from various Kyushu prefectures, along with local vegetables and mountain delicacies, in a private dining room. You can choose how to enjoy "Oita Wagyu" from barbecue, sukiyaki, or shabu-shabu.
