■ Yatsugatake Kogen Bridge (5 minutes by car)
Nicknamed the “Yellow Bridge,” this bridge spans the Kawamata River Gorge. Enjoy views of Mt. Yatsugatake to the north, the Southern Alps to the southwest, and Mt. Fuji to the south. The oak, beech, rowan, maple, and larch forests along the gorge are especially stunning in peak foliage season.

■ Doryu Falls (10 minutes by car)
A waterfall in the Kawamata River Gorge with a 10 m drop and 15 m width. Named “Doryu Falls” for its mystical appearance as it streams down moss-covered rocks like silken threads.

■ Higashizawa Bridge (10 minutes by car)
This red bridge over the Higashizawa Gorge stands out beautifully against mountains covered in autumn colors. You can park at the lookout on the east end of the bridge and enjoy the view.

From walking trails leading to an observation deck at 1,542 m elevation, you can overlook Kiyosato Highlands. On clear days, enjoy sweeping panoramic views of Mt. Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, Mt. Fuji, and more—along with vibrant fall colors.
