About 90 minutes by car from central Tokyo. A resort with an Onsen, nestled in the forest at the foot of Mt. Fuji, where you can stay with your dog.

Forest Village, surrounded by the lush nature at the foothills of Mt. Fuji—a UNESCO World Heritage site—is a resort designed for guests to fully enjoy a stay with their beloved dogs. We offer Rooms such as those with private dog runs, as well as options where even guests traveling with large dogs can feel comfortable and at ease. In the beauty of each season, enjoy a special time to relax and unwind together with your dog in nature. For dinner, savor a teppanyaki course featuring Yamanashi’s premium brand beef, Koshu Beef. Pair it with sommelier-selected wines for an elevated resort stay. Guests not traveling with dogs are also welcome. We also offer Rooms where guests without dogs can relax comfortably, and the nature at the foothills of Mt. Fuji, Onsen, and our Koshu Beef teppanyaki dinner can be enjoyed to your heart’s content by guests in any Room. Please note: This Facility is often chosen by guests staying specifically to spend time with their dogs. As you may encounter dogs on the premises, we kindly ask guests with animal allergies to understand this in advance.

  • A lot has happened recently, and my husband took the lead and worked hard through it all. Now that things have finally settled down, we chose to stay here so he—and our dogs—could relax and enjoy some carefree time together. My husband said he was happy to experience something out of the ordinary again after a long time! The food was delicious, and we were truly satisfied with everything, including the Hotel staff’s hospitality and their thoughtful care for our dogs. Thank you very much for giving us such a wonderful time!

  • This was our second stay for 3 nights and 4 days.We were so impressed by the hospitality during our stay last year that we came again this summer vacation. We stayed as a couple with our large French Bulldog.Once again, the staff exceeded our expectations and took wonderful care of us.This time, we left our dog at the on-site pet Hotel and went to the outlet mall as a couple.Because it’s a Hotel where dogs can relax freely in both the Room and the front-yard dog run, our dog was able to unwind without stress. They sent us photos and videos via LINE showing how things were going, along with detailed activity logs. The staff also played with him—chasing games and more—so we’re truly glad we left him there.Highly recommended. The restaurant staff greeted us with smiles every morning and evening, and even in small conversations we could feel their outstanding hospitality. They even remembered our dog’s name—amazing, isn’t it?We were very satisfied with both the meat and fish dishes. The Room was clean and comfortable, and I was very lucky to have the spa all to myself. As we headed home, we felt grateful once again for how warmly the staff welcomed us throughout our stay. There’s no way this won’t become our go-to Accommodation—we’d love to return next year, or possibly as early as autumn or winter.

Notice from the Accommodation

  • Kawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival

Autumn in Lake Kawaguchi (Fuji Five Lakes) (September–November)

Early autumn around Lake Kawaguchi, about 5°C cooler than Tokyo on average, is welcomed by delicate cosmos flowers in full bloom along the lakeshore. With an average temperature of 18.8°C in September, it’s comfortable for enjoying “autumn of the arts,” such as visiting museums around the lake. However, rainfall is as frequent as during the rainy season, so rain gear is essential. From late September, many days start to feel chilly, so we recommend long pants with a long-sleeve base layer and a thicker shirt or jacket.
In October—when Mt. Fuji’s first snowfall is often observed—temperatures drop quickly, with the average low falling to 9°C. In November, when autumn leaves are at their best, the average high is 14.0°C. Nighttime temperatures can fall below 3°C; at illuminated foliage spots it can be cold enough for bonfires to be lit. For peace of mind, dress warmly from head to toe with a thick base layer, sweater, coat, and boots.

  • Chureito Pagoda (Autumn Leaves)

Arakurayama Sengen Park & Chureito Pagoda

Arakurayama Sengen Park is famous as one of Japan’s most iconic viewpoints of Mt. Fuji. Located from the foot to the mid-slope of Mt. Arakura, the park offers a spectacular view from an observation deck reached by climbing 398 steps: below lies the cityscape of Fujiyoshida, and beyond it you can admire Mt. Fuji’s beautifully symmetrical silhouette. In spring, during cherry blossom season, you can enjoy a breathtaking scene featuring three classic Japanese icons together—Mt. Fuji, a five-story pagoda, and sakura blossoms. Its appeal is not limited to spring; throughout all four seasons, the changing 모습 of Mt. Fuji in harmony with the park’s nature creates stunning scenery year-round.
