  • It was a relaxing place to stay.

    We stayed at Zuigetsu, a small inn we had long known for its excellent reviews. After stopping by the Yugawara Museum of Art nearby, we struggled up the steep hill to reach the inn, but the warm hospitality more than made up for it and left us truly relaxed. The hot spring and overall setting were flawless, but what stood out most was the exceptional quality of the cuisine. We could really feel the chef’s superb knife skills and precision in every dish. The “Hyoga-mai” rice was the best we’ve ever had—we even asked for seconds. We were genuinely impressed to find such a high-quality inn still exists. Next time, we plan to come straight by taxi. Thank you very much.

  • An adults-only accommodation with excellent cuisine

    A quiet, adults-only Accommodation.With only a few Rooms, the large public bath felt almost private, and I was able to relax at my own pace.As this Accommodation is known for its cuisine, every dish was carefully prepared, and I enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert. The rice was also delicious—I couldn’t help having seconds.The proprietress and everyone else were so kind that even traveling alone felt soothing. I’d love to visit again.

About 10 minutes by car from JR Yugawara Station. About 15 minutes by bus; get off at “Sakurayama Iriguchi,” then walk about 5 minutes (a 300 m uphill slope continues).

■ Bus (bound for Oku-Yugawara / Fudo Falls): “Oku-Yugawara” ⇒ “Sakurayama Iriguchi”

[By Car]
Take Prefectural Route 75 toward Hakone. After passing the Yugawara Museum of Art, turn left just past the “Sakurayama Iriguchi” bus stop (before Yugawara Taxi).
