A proud Onsen Ryokan featuring the largest-scale natural hot spring bath in the Hokuriku region. "Sen no Koboreyu" offers a luxurious space filled with abundant hot water, allowing you to enjoy a dynamic bathing experience with five different types of baths, each with its own unique charm. For your Room, we offer three types: the standard "Yuuyuukan," the slightly more luxurious "Sensenkan," and the exclusive "Tokiwasure Riza" with a private open-air hot spring bath. For meals, we serve the finest dishes made with local seafood freshly caught in the area, carefully cultivated Fukui-grown Koshihikari rice, and other ingredients unique to Fukui.
We were kindly offered an upgrade to a special Room. In addition to the wonderful Room, the service was excellent. We truly enjoyed a relaxing vacation. In particular, a front desk staff member (I regret I don’t remember their name) recommended great places for delicious grated soba and apple pie, which my wife and I both enjoyed. It was an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.
なかぷC 7/21/2026On our anniversary trip, we decided to visit Awara Onsen again for the first time in a while. After considering several options, we chose Matsuya Sensen, which was featured first on IKYU—and it was the right choice. We were especially impressed by the fresh and welcoming attitude of the younger staff members. Dinner was delicious; the portions were more than sufficient and the ingredients were very fresh. The grilled dancing abalone in particular was excellent. In addition, to celebrate our anniversary trip, the proprietress kindly gave us a very heartwarming gift, and my wife was truly delighted. We are already using it—thank you very much. If we have the opportunity, we would definitely like to visit again.
