Echigo Nagano Onsen is a hidden onsen retreat located 30 minutes by car from Sanjo City, associated with the poet "Ryokan." In front lies the clear stream of the Sumon River. This Accommodation had the unique charm of a historic wooden building and was truly comfortable and wonderful.Surrounded by greenery and clear streams, with a small brook running through the grounds, I was able to relax deeply while feeling close to nature.The building felt like a maze—I almost got lost, but that was part of the fun.I used both the large public bath and a private standing-style deep bath, and both were excellent.My husband especially loved the deep bath.We were also very satisfied with the meals, enjoying plenty of local ingredients.I would definitely love to visit again.
haru3396 9/26/2026I visited with my wife. I expected the Room to be old, but it was very well maintained and we had a comfortable stay. The Room Wi-Fi signal was weak, but we were glad we could watch YouTube on the TV. The Onsen water quality was also excellent and left our skin feeling smooth. The meals were great as well, featuring mainly local ingredients and dishes we don’t usually get to try.
