  • I was able to spend a quiet and elegant time.

    I was amazed at how silky and smooth the bathwater was—it felt wonderful. I just wish there had been a sauna. Dinner was well balanced with both meat and fish, and I was very satisfied. Everything was delicious, including smoked Spanish mackerel, simmered octopus, conger eel shabu-shabu, grilled sea bass, Awaji beef steak, and to finish, sea bream rice with red miso soup. The Japanese set breakfast in the morning is also great—Japanese food really is the best.

  • A Hotel with Exceptional Service

    Although the number of guest rooms is not large, the Hotel has many staff members. Everyone is kind, and it seems they have gathered a great team—I even find myself wondering whether the business is profitable. There is also a pool right in front, and it looks like there may be a sandy beach nearby as well. I am considering staying again during the summer holidays.

Keino Matsubara, which stretches out in front of the Hotel, is named after a poem by the Asuka period poet Kakinomoto no Hitomaro: "The garden of the sea of Kehi seems to be well-kept; fishing boats of the fishermen appear as they emerge from the disorderly reeds." The poem depicts the tranquil sea with fishing boats coming and going. The beautiful sandy beach facing Harima-nada is lined with approximately 50,000 Awaji black pines, extending over 2.5 km. The white sand and the breathtaking sunset sinking into the horizon are truly spectacular. This scenic spot has been selected not only as one of the "100 Best Sunsets in Japan" but also as one of the "100 Best Beaches in Japan" and the "88 Best Swimming Beaches in Japan," making it a place to enjoy throughout the seasons. Within the pine forest, there are walking paths full of attractions, such as the Manyo Iraka Road and the Proposal Road, which can be accessed directly from the Hotel's courtyard. Please take your time to stroll through the rich nature nurtured in this town of Ibushi tiles.

Uzushio Onsen is an excellent therapeutic hot spring that emerges from geological layers approximately 80 million years old at a depth of 1000 meters underground. It is a neutral sodium bicarbonate spring containing a high concentration of hydrocarbonate and sodium ions, with a baking soda content surpassing that of Japan's top three beauty hot springs.
