The Natural Countryside Onsen Fukahori-tei is located in the heart of the Chikugo Plain, within a granary area. Upon stepping through the gate, you are greeted by seasonal trees and fruit trees on a 4,000-tsubo estate, leading you to a scenery that makes you forget daily life. The main building, renovated from an old house passed down for 180 years, is a space harmonizing historical beams with modern design furniture. Time flows peacefully and leisurely, evoking a nostalgic feeling as if returning to one's hometown.

  • A welcoming Accommodation filled with hospitality

    The relaxing Facility, the charming Room, the wonderful cuisine, and the silky Onsen I could stay in forever—everything was exceptional. The staff’s warm smiles and attentive hospitality made it even better. This is the first Accommodation where I truly didn’t want to leave because it felt so comfortable. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

  • We stayed during the...

    We stayed during the height of the rainy season front, on a day of heavy rain. The meals were made with seasonal and local ingredients and were very delicious. We enjoyed this year’s first salt-grilled ayu, stick vegetables, and grilled corn rice. However, I would have liked an explanation of the stick vegetables.The sauna was well prepared, including sauna wear, so we could relax and enjoy it. But because of the rain, when using the open-air bath and cold plunge we got rained on and couldn’t fully unwind, which was disappointing. My husband went to the large public bath as well, but I hesitated to walk there in the rain and didn’t go—also a shame. He said the hot spring water quality was excellent.We’d like to visit again on a sunny day next time.
