I stayed here because of its convenient location for enjoying a concert at Ohga Hall. This Hotel has a quiet atmosphere that lets you feel Karuizawa’s history. Thanks to the kind and attentive service from the staff, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. Thank you very much.However, I felt that seniors should be careful of the step in the bathroom.
This was my first stay. I usually avoid Old Karuizawa because I imagine it gets very crowded, and I typically spend my time around Kita-Karuizawa where our mountain lodge is. This time, however, I discovered that Hotel Marroad Karuizawa, located near Yagasaki Park and Oga Hall, is so comfortable and conveniently situated that I would like to stay here again in the future.The building seems to have been built around 1985 and has a retro feel, but the view of fresh greenery from the courtyard and dining area was wonderful. It was hard to believe that just a 10-minute walk from Karuizawa Station could feel so quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff were kind, and the Room was spacious and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. Next time, I’d like to come by Shinkansen to enjoy the snowy scenery and experience Karuizawa in winter.
