A secluded Onsen Ryokan in Kurokawa, set on a 2,000-tsubo property with a variety of bathing areas scattered throughout.

Oku no Yu presents “a new way to enjoy Kurokawa Onsen, where cuisine takes center stage.” Rather than starting your trip planning by choosing an Accommodation, we propose a stay centered on dining—“Let’s go to Kurokawa Onsen because we want to eat at that restaurant”—traveling with the restaurant as your destination. For dinner, choose from Japanese cuisine or innovative French, both crafted by top-class chefs. After relaxing in the Onsen at your Accommodation, head to the restaurant area “AuKurokawa” in your yukata. Savor one of Kyushu’s finest hot springs and an exquisite dinner by world-class chefs to your heart’s content.

  • The autumn leaves were very beautiful from the room. There were many tourists from overseas, but there were no issues, and it was a great experience to chat in the open-air bath. The staff seemed to include those proficient in languages, showing their efforts as an accommodation. The variety of uniquely designed baths was enjoyable. The food was also delicious. However, the reservation method for private baths may need some consideration.

A Kurokawa Trip Where the Cuisine Takes Center Stage

A dining destination where top chefs gather, inspired by Kurokawa’s local ingredients: the restaurant area “Au Kurokawa.” Two new restaurants have opened—Japanese cuisine “Shoryu,” created by Chef Miyohara of the two-Michelin-starred “Shinyashiki Kohfukuron,” and innovative French “KAZANE,” led by Chef Nakai, formerly of Tokyo’s one-Michelin-starred “LATURE.” Enjoy one of Kyushu’s finest hot springs alongside exceptional cuisine found only here.
