We stayed in Angel’s Ladder Type A. Just as the Reviews said, the Room, open-air bath, and indoor bath were all extremely satisfying. The meals were excellent—abalone, spiny lobster, and steak. The staff were also very attentive, and we had a very pleasant stay.
Monobu 6/19/2026I’ve stayed at Amanojaku, Tenku no Fune, and Tenshi no Hashigo, and this time I’m back at Ryugu for the first time in a while. The kuruma prawns, simmered octopus, and sea bream rice here are all very delicious, so it’s one of my favorites. If you want a Room with an open-air bath, Sarasa-kan is the option, but having dinner in a Japanese-style Room can be difficult for elderly guests, so we choose a different Room instead—and we’re very satisfied.

Ten no Jaku
Tennosaku is a property located in a place where you can overlook the sea and islands of Amakusa and Matsushima, offering the enjoyment of local ingredients and relaxation at Matsushima Onsen. With a total of 11 rooms, you can view the sea from both the rooms and the baths. From the breathtaking scenery that cannot be fully described by the terms "Ocean View" or "Open-Air Bath," you may even feel as if you own the Amakusa sea.
