Just a step away from the bustling onsen town lined with large hotels, Ryokan Ichinomatsu offers a serene traditional Japanese design with all rooms facing a Japanese garden. Originally, it was a villa of a fishing fleet owner. With a limited number of 29 rooms, we provide attentive hospitality to ensure a memorable stay for each guest.

  • All the staff were very kind.

    We arrived by taxi from Hakodate Airport. There is also a bus stop within walking distance, which is convenient. The meals were plentiful, and the squid in particular was delicious. It’s best not to expect much in terms of the view from the Room. There are two convenience stores nearby, and the refrigerator was empty so we could use it freely. The Onsen was excellent, with smooth, light water. Everyone—from the front desk to meal service and futon setup—was friendly and always smiling, which was wonderful. We will stay here again when we visit Hakodate.

  • The meals were excellent.

    This was our first time staying here. The meals offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted great. The staff were extremely kind and took very good care of us. One small disappointment was that the bath was a bit small, and the futon mattress was thin; since we usually sleep in beds, our backs hurt and we didn’t sleep very well. Still, overall we think this is a very good Accommodation.
