Introduction of the Accommodation

A stylish Japanese ambiance.
"Yagyu no Sho" originated from the restaurant "Yagyu," which opened in Shiba Shirokane, Tokyo, in Showa 34, with its roots in Kyoto kaiseki cuisine. While deepening culinary arts and spirit, it encountered the traditional Japanese charm remaining in the Satoyama of Shuzenji, leading to the opening of the Onsen Ryokan "Yagyu no Sho" in Shuzenji in Showa 45. The name "Yagyu" was chosen as the founder practiced kendo, discovering a new lodging style amidst bamboo groves and sukiya architecture.

The two large open-air Onsen baths alternate between genders daily, allowing you to enjoy both atmospheres. All baths in the Room are sourced directly from the Onsen.

The 15 classic Sukiya-style Rooms each feature unique layouts and atmospheres. The baths in the Rooms are all Onsen with water directly sourced from the spring, allowing you to enjoy them at any time.

You can enjoy traditional dishes passed down through generations, as well as unique Yagyu specialties, while relaxing in your Room.

We continue to explore a Property that embodies the beauty of Japanese architecture, cuisine, baths, ambiance, and hospitality, inheriting the philosophy of a "warm and comforting place" cherished by the previous generation.

The garden harmoniously reflects the beauty of each season, offering a picturesque view. From the windows, enjoy diverse scenery such as bamboo groves and a pond with swimming koi fish. Experience a serene moment immersed in the essence of Japanese beauty that touches all your senses.
