Established in 1882, this traditional Sukiya-style accommodation has been soothing travelers throughout its long history.
"The renowned hot spring "Yugawara Onsen," celebrated since the ancient Manyoshu era. Located in the heart of this area, "Fujitaya" boasts a history of 135 years. The warmth of the abundant spring water, the comfort of the open-air bath with a gentle breeze. The unique flavors of Sagami, crafted from seasonal ingredients. As Yugawara's oldest property, we sincerely welcome our guests with heartfelt hospitality."
I stayed here with my mother. Just as the Reviews said, everything was very well maintained, every meal was delicious, and the bath was clean and comfortable, so we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The garden and the interior design of the walkways were also wonderful, giving us many ways to enjoy our stay. All of the staff provided pleasant and welcoming service. My mother was very satisfied and liked it so much that she said she wants to come again.Thank you for creating such a lovely space.
Henry1103 5/25/2026I wanted to enjoy the Onsen, and since there were four types, I was able to soak plenty. Both dinner and breakfast were served in the Room, so I could eat at a relaxed pace. Everything was delicious. Recommended for anyone looking for a calm, traditional Japanese-style Ryokan.
