Please enjoy a wonderful time at the reborn "Mountain Retreat for Adults." ~ Escape the everyday and enjoy a tranquil moment in the mountain village of Oguni ~ Oda Onsen, a hidden gem of Kyushu, springs forth in the secluded Oda Valley. At Yamazaki, we offer the charm of a mountain retreat where you can fully enjoy this secret hot spring in the best environment. With only 8 Rooms, our small Property exudes the scent of wood throughout, allowing you to feel the nostalgic warmth of nature. All Rooms are equipped with private Onsen baths with natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source, available for use 24 hours a day as many times as you like. Disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and spend a relaxing time with your loved ones, where you may even forget the passage of time.

  • We had a relaxing stay.

    We visited as a couple in early April and were able to relax deeply.The Room was spacious, with a Japanese-style room, a bedroom, and a lounge area with a sofa. Each space could be separated by sliding doors, which made it very convenient to use. The lounge area in particular was comfortable thanks to the heated flooring.The open-air bath in the Room was outstanding, and taking a morning bath while listening to the bush warbler’s song became the best memory of this trip.The service was excellent and the meals were delicious. Next time, we would like to visit again with our daughter who loves Onsen.

  • Accommodation for four women

    We made a Reservation for an end-of-year getaway. The cheerful staff welcomed us, and the place was spotless—we were glad we booked it. Both the large public bath and the in-room open-air bath were excellent. The amenities were well stocked, and we were very satisfied. Dinner was generous, served at just the right pace, and left us completely full. We ended up staying up late, enjoying drinks at the sunken kotatsu. In the morning, we took another bath and enjoyed a hearty breakfast—satisfied until the very end. We would definitely like to stay again.

1. If coming from Kumamoto or Daikanbo, head north on Route 212 and turn left towards Kurokawa (Route 40) at the sign on the left.
2. After about 3 km, you will see a sign for Kurokawa Onsen. Turn left there to get onto Route 442.
3. Continue on Route 442 and turn right at the sign for Oda Onsen, just past the Y Shop on your left.
4. After that, the road becomes a forest path with many curves, but if you follow the road straight, you will find Yamazaki on your right.
