Sarusawa Pond Yoshidaya
Nara Prefecture/NaraA property just a 1-minute walk to the deer and Kofuku-ji, offering a panoramic view of the beautiful sunset over Sarusawa Pond.
Within walking distance to Todai-ji Temple, Kasuga-taisha Shrine, and the Naramachi area. We take pride in our private baths available for free and guest rooms with semi-open-air baths overlooking Sarusawa Pond. Wake up to the sound of the Kofuku-ji Temple bell, and start your morning with the procession of deer and rice cooked in a traditional stove. Enjoy a relaxing stay at our property.
This Accommodation is in an excellent location for sightseeing in Nara, so this was our second stay, this time to visit the Nara National Museum. From the moment we arrived, the parking guidance was very courteous, and the Room was spotless. The large public bath was also clean. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and had a very pleasant stay. After checking out, the staff member who first assisted us even came out of their way to see us off, which made both my husband and me truly happy. I think this is a wonderful Accommodation filled with warm hospitality and thoughtful care.
みずばば 7/25/2026Overlooking Sarusawa Pond and within walking distance of Naramachi, Todaiji Temple, and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. In the morning, you can enjoy a stroll to Ukimido Pavilion—an ideal location for sightseeing. There’s also a Starbucks nearby. We stayed in a Deluxe Twin with a semi-open-air bath. The spacious hinoki bath in the Room was wonderfully relaxing, and being able to sit in the tatami area helped soothe our tired legs after walking around all day. Watching deer wander by through the window was a special Nara-only moment. All the staff were kind and welcoming. We had dinner out this time, but they prepared a birthday surprise in our Room, which truly moved us. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again when we visit Nara.

【Major Renovation of Kofukuji's Five-Story Pagoda After 120 Years】
Currently, the Five-Story Pagoda is undergoing large-scale preservation and repair work, so it cannot be viewed. However, the National Treasure Museum and the Central Golden Hall are open for viewing as usual.
This is a historic major renovation since the Meiji era, looking 100 years and 400 years into the future. While the restored appearance is something to look forward to, please feel the joy of encountering this precious moment that connects history up close.
From the rooftop lounge "Wakakusa," which is freely available to our guests, you can enjoy views of Mount Wakakusa, the World Heritage Site Kasugayama Primeval Forest, and the beautiful mountain range of Mount Takamado, famous for the Nara Daimonji Bonfire.
