  • Our First Trip to Tottori as a Couple

    Our first trip as a couple to Shimane and Tottori.It was also our first time at Misasa Onsen.And our first stay at Ryokan Ohashi as well.Throughout our stay, we were able to relax at a leisurely pace, and it has become an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again.The hospitality was flawless, and since there happened to be few guests, we were lucky to have the chance to chat and learn various things.The meals were also impeccable—abalone, Wagyu beef, a wide variety of dishes—and above all, you could really feel their commitment to quality ingredients.That alone would have been more than enough, but the Onsen was in a class of its own. The rock baths—Upper Bath, Middle Bath, Lower Bath—the open-air bath on the opposite side; the radium spring truly warmed the body wonderfully and felt effective for therapeutic bathing as well.We were told that crab dishes in the colder season paired with the radium spring are even more recommended, so we’re already looking forward to it.

  • Both the cave bath a...

    Both the cave bath and the open-air bath were clean, and we could relax comfortably. We stayed in a Room that seems to have undergone a major renovation—reducing the number of rooms and adding a bedroom and a private in-room hot spring bath with free-flowing water—so our stay was very comfortable. The furnishings in the Room and along the hallways were also lovely. The experienced staff who took care of our meals kindly answered various questions about the local area, making our time truly enjoyable. Thank you very much.

    Tottori Prefectural Museum is currently holding a special exhibition to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the anime broadcast.
    In addition to displays looking back on its history, Tottori Prefectural Library is also running a simultaneous feature on Gosho Aoyama, offering deeper insight into the background of his works.

    2. Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory “Special Original Drawings Exhibition 2026”

    At the “Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory” in Hokuei Town, the “Gosho Aoyama Detective Conan Special Original Drawings Exhibition 2026” has begun.
    To coincide with the release of the latest movie (Highway no Datenshi), rare original hand-drawn artwork is on display, focusing on episodes featuring Chihaya Hagiwara—known as the Goddess of Wind in the story. The much-anticipated unveiling of original art from the “Sunday Connected Covers” is also planned.
    As this will be the final special original drawings exhibition that can be enjoyed in the current building, it’s not to be missed!

    Location: Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory (about a 40-minute drive from our property)
