Thorough measures implemented even behind the scenes - We will assign Hygiene Managers at all Hotels (a role already adopted at several The Peninsula Hotels properties). Hygiene Managers oversee a wide range of hygiene management duties—including safety management, daily training, inspections, and testing—to protect guests and employees across all areas: guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants and bars, spa, fitness center, Shuttle Service vehicles, and employee areas. They report directly to the Hotel Manager. - We are enhancing cleaning processes and increasing the frequency of maintenance for air purification filters and air-conditioning equipment. - A dedicated housekeeping team cleans guest Room spaces in accordance with strict cleaning standards to prevent cross-contamination. Disinfection frequency is increased especially for telephones in public spaces and guest rooms, as well as controllers and tablets within guest rooms. - We are proactively introducing advanced equipment such as Premium Purity and Germagic that helps eliminate bacteria, viruses, and mold on surfaces. In addition, we are working with a company developing UV technology to achieve medical-grade disinfection and sterilization standards. - All external vendors doing business with The Peninsula Hotels are required to comply with our hygiene standards. - A color-coding system is used for cleaning supplies to clearly differentiate between guest Room areas and public spaces in order to prevent cross-contamination.
