The Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, which became a Tenryo (directly governed land) in 1632, still vividly preserves the atmosphere of its past. The area is lined with merchant houses featuring lattice windows and walls with traditional honeycomb patterns, while the black-tiled rooftops create a striking silhouette against the sky. Its timeless charm continues to captivate visitors. Kurashiki Inn is located in the heart of the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. This culinary inn offers a serene retreat with its traditional architecture and tranquil garden views. The guest rooms, limited to just 8, are renovated from historical buildings such as an Edo-period storage house.

    The staff provided attentive service, and we had a very comfortable stay.The restaurant has semi-private seating, which allowed us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace without worrying about others. The food was delicious, and we were very satisfied.Our Room was in a separate annex, with privacy well maintained, so we could truly unwind.This is a wonderful Accommodation where we would love to stay again if we have the chance to visit Kurashiki.

  • Delicious Meals

    The meals were outstanding. Featuring local Okayama ingredients, everything looked beautiful and tasted amazing.The Room was originally a storehouse, so it can feel a bit enclosed, but it is spacious enough and comfortable.You can make a Reservation for meals and the bath after you arrive, so there’s no waiting. The location also makes it easy to step out for a short walk during your free time, which was great.
