Savor exquisite kaiseki cuisine that will delight even the most discerning gourmets at this small Sukiya-style Ryokan.

A small and serene ryokan, "Ashikari," nestled in a quiet mountain area of 2,000 tsubo, offers warm hospitality in a traditional sukiya-style setting. The kaiseki cuisine, featuring the finest seasonal ingredients, is highly acclaimed by food connoisseurs. Guests can choose from elegantly designed standard rooms or newly built rooms with open-air hot spring baths on spacious decks, all offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape for a truly relaxing stay. The newly established dining area facing a rustic moss garden filled with the sounds of babbling streams and chirping insects is also highly praised for its wine selection that perfectly complements the kaiseki dishes.

  • We stayed for one night to celebrate my partner’s birthday. This was our third stay.Thank you very much for your heartfelt and warm hospitality throughout our visit. The wonderful whole cake you prepared for the celebration was so light that we finished it easily, even after a full meal. You also helped us with a small issue, and we were both truly touched by your thoughtful attention to detail. Thanks to the delicious food, the wonderful Onsen, and everyone’s kindness, we were able to forget our busy daily lives and enjoy a special time of true relaxation. We would love to visit again next year.

  • It was wonderful! This was our first trip with our 4-month-old baby, and from the moment we arrived they helped carry our luggage, which was a huge help for us since we tend to worry and travel with a lot of bags. All the staff greeted our baby as well, so we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The in-Room meals were served flexibly at our pace, and I highly recommend this place for a first trip with a baby!
