This was not just a clean Accommodation, but a place that felt like a “second home,” filled with warmth and thoughtfulness.In every corner of the Room, we could feel the host’s care and affection, and throughout our stay we felt comfortable and genuinely welcomed.The meals were also truly outstanding. Each dish was prepared with great care and sincerity—delicious, and an unforgettable taste.We had a truly wonderful time and are sincerely grateful. We would love to visit again.

When it comes to Karatsu, this Accommodation—Mizuno Ryokan—is a classic that we always return to. The samurai residence gate relocated from Nagoya Castle is full of character, and to the right of the gate you’re welcomed by a sign reading “Live Fish Tank & Japanese Cuisine Mizuno,” hinting at the high quality of the cuisine. The ocean-view Rooms overlook Karatsu Bay, a soothing scene that helps you forget everyday bustle. From the second-floor Rooms on the Karatsu Castle side, you can see the castle up close—an ideal photo spot for a memorable travel shot. Above all, there’s no doubt this is a one-of-a-kind long-established Ryokan, offering attentive hospitality and exceptional dishes featuring seasonal fish from the Genkai Sea. While the Facility and equipment are old, everything is kept very clean and well maintained. And because the food is so delicious, we can’t help but come back again and again.
