Nestled at the foot of Mt. Omuro on a vast 3,300 m² property. A secluded Accommodation of just six detached Rooms, offering a blissful escape from the bustle of everyday life with exceptional hot springs and cuisine. All Rooms at Oyado Uchiyama are maisonette-style, featuring a cozy atmosphere crafted in traditional wood. On the first floor, you’ll find a 10-tatami Japanese-style room, along with spaces such as an engawa veranda or a spacious bath and an irori hearth (depending on the Room), while the second floor includes a bedroom and— in every Room—an open-air panoramic view bath with sweeping views of the sea and the mountains of Izu. From the bath, enjoy breathtaking scenery of sunlit sea and mountains by day, and a sky full of stars at night. Dinner is served either in private dining rooms or in your Room, where you can savor seasonal Izu kaiseki cuisine prepared by our head chef.

    In-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room made it a completely private space. The meals were delicious.This Accommodation was great for families with small children, as you can relax and enjoy your stay without worrying about others.It was a bit difficult to do makeup, so having a handheld mirror would be helpful.

    The property has been beautifully renovated and is very clean despite being 20 years old.We chose the standard meal plan, and it was delicious—simple, no gimmicks, with a focus on great taste.The portion size was just right.I also forgot something behind, and I’m very grateful for all the help in handling it.Highly recommended.
