The interior design of the Property was crafted by nottuo, who won the prestigious IF DESIGN Award in 2023, featuring solid wood furniture made from natural materials, ceramic tableware created by mid-career artists, and sophisticated items subtly incorporated throughout. The cuisine is a Japanese kaiseki meal that incorporates the nourishing blessings of the San'in and Seto Inland Sea regions, as well as the bounty of the satoyama countryside.
I was looking for a highly rated Onsen Ryokan to stay at in Okayama, so I chose this one. It was a great choice. The meals were exactly as described—quality over quantity—and the portions were perfect for older guests. It’s also an all-inclusive property, so I enjoyed a variety of drinks and snacks; the doburoku in particular was excellent. I don’t recall drinking it much before, but it went down smoothly, and next time I think I’ll stick with doburoku after my beer. I’m glad I stayed here.

Most of these flowers are wildflowers blooming in the nearby mountains.

Yunogo Onsen, renowned as the "Onsen of Beauty," is also known as "White Heron Onsen." It was discovered 1200 years ago by the high priest Ennin, who observed a white heron healing its wounds.
